  • What is it?

CryoPen is an instrument used to perform cryotherapy. Cryotherapy is the practice of applying extreme cold to the skin for surgical or medicinal purposes. Typically, the CryoPen is loaded with a  nitrous oxide gas cylinder, which is then used in a concentrated spray to destroy dead or harmful skin tissues.

  • What can it treat?

    Verruca, commonly know as WARTS!

A wart is essentially an infection in the top layer of the skin. It is the result of a virus known as ‘the human papillomavirus’ or ‘HPV’ for short. It is a condition found in people of all ages, most commonly young children and adults. The virus can penetrate the top layer of skin through various means. Once the virus has breached the skin, this triggers a rapidly fast growth of cells on the skin’s outer layer. Thus, forming a wart!

  • How does it work?

The CryoPen delivers a very fine dose of nitrous oxide gas at the site of the skin lesion. The gas has a temperature of -89 degrees Celsius that completely freezes the afflicted tissue, thus destroying any harmful cells associated with the virus. Treatments are fast, comfortable and effective. In most cases, the body develops an immune reaction to the treatment, preventing any future outbreaks of verruca.
